Spectacular UK Landscapes: DJI Air 2S Cinematic Drone Showreel

This showreel is a collection of my favourite aerial moments, all filmed on the DJI Air 2S across some of the UK’s most ridiculously beautiful landscapes. But really, it’s a highlight reel of weekends spent with friends up hills, mountains and back down breathtaking valleys. Most of these flights happened during those weekends when I’d pack the car, drive out into the British countryside, and hike for hours just to find the perfect vantage point to launch the drone.

British weather is notoriously fickle, and I was genuinely surprised by how well the little Air 2S held its own out there. There were times I was bracing against sudden, biting gusts along coastal cliffs or squinting through high moorland gales, and the drone held out in all but the most extreme of conditions. Of course, hauling a drone, extra batteries, and the controller up a steep incline definitely adds a noticeable ache to your shoulders. You feel every extra gram when you’re out of breath on a scramble. But then you finally breach the summit, or the heavy clouds suddenly part to reveal the valley below, and you completely forget about the heavy pack. You just want to get it in the air.

When I sat down to edit and look back at all this footage, I realised the best parts aren’t actually on the memory card. The final cinematic shots are great, sure, but they don’t capture the sound of us laughing, or the feeling of huddling around a tiny screen with numb fingers to check the framing.

The real highlights are the long, muddy walks, the freezing cold mornings waiting for the sunrise, and those quiet, breathless pauses at the top of a ridge with good friends, just taking it all in before the batteries died.
